Would you like an all-access pass to the Creative Career Design process?
Introducing the Creative Mapping Circle:
The Creative Mapping Circle is your all-access pass to CMP workshops, Practice Sessions, Coworking Sessions, and community forum so that you have the tools you need to design and maintain a sustainable life.
The Creative Mapping Circle is a group of project-makers, creatives, and small business owners creating healthier, more regenerative systems to balance their careers and lives.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed in your creative project, weighing your next big career move, or just want to explore better systems for the good thing you already have going, the Creative Mapping Circle will give you ongoing structure, accountability, and a systematic approach as in this stage of your journey.
By joining The Circle, you’ll also get a (very!) reduced price on all multi-week courses and first access to everything Chris is developing.
CREATIVE MAPPING CIRCLE BENEFITS
What could a week in the Creative Mapping Circle look like?
Monday: 15 min Practice Session
What’s a Practice Session? It's like how you can get lots out of a one-off session with a great personal trainer, but the real progress comes from your daily workout. This is your mapping workout.A single question, a list, a map: whatever we do that day, you’ll be able to apply it to whichever part of your life needs to move one step forward, whether that’s your main project, relational landscape, job, or business.
Tuesday: Coworking Session
A pre-budgeted accountability hour. A solid way to catch up on reading, journaling, writing emails, and whatever you need to set aside time for.Wednesday: 15 min Practice Session
Thursday: Coworking Session
Friday - Sun: Occasional workshops, calls, and other events.
About You:
This might be a good fit for you if you find yourself saying:
“I feel alone-- I need a team to brainstorm and commiserate with, to give me accountability, to share skills and collaborate with.”
“I’m stuck trying to figure out what next step to take.”
“I need to make a big decision, and I don’t know how to choose the best option.”
“I know what I want to accomplish but can’t focus long enough to get significant amounts of work done. I sit down to work, and then a few hours go by without any progress.”
“I crave healthy routines and habits, but can’t seem to set up a daily or weekly rhythm that gives me what I need.”
“I’m good at what I do but I’m just exhausted by everything that’s going on in my life and in the world-- I need to set up a career and life that feels more balanced, and that has self-care systematically built in instead of as an afterthought band aid.”
“I love what the Creative Mapping Project is doing, and I want to help it keep growing into a radically sustainable community ecosystem!”
“It's like a brain steamer. Every 15 minutes we're working on smoothing a section of my brain.
It's cool to come in with a jumble and then head out with at least two or three pinpoint-y thoughts to think about for the rest of the day.”

Frequently asked questions
+ What's the time commitment? I'm worried about signing up for another thing.
There is no set time commitment. The Creative Mapping Circle is set up as a flexible, on-demand resource to work with busy schedules.
Some folks will want to do a 15-min Practice Session once every week or two and leave it at that. Some will attend every call and every workshop.
Even if you never have time for a live event, all sessions are recorded for Mapping Circle members, so you can dip into them whenever is convenient for you.
And remember, it's the hope that these tools will help you create a more sustainable and balanced career and life overall-- ultimately saving you time by helping you decide what to say 'no' to in the first place.
+ Is there a cheaper option?
I’m considering offering one in the future if there’s enough interest-- if you’re interested, please send me a quick email to let me know.
The current Founding Members’ price is meant to be a really affordable deal for what it is. Consider that if you’re buying them individually, Workshops cost $35, and Practice Sessions cost $5 each. As a Mapping Circle member, you’ll have access to at least 1-2 Workshops and eight or more Practice Sessions each month.
That adds up to $110 per month, and that wouldn’t include access to all session recordings, the 24/7 community forum, or extra Mastermind calls and Q&A calls with Chris (all of which are only available to members).
Additionally, the discounts you’ll get on multi-week courses (like the $450 Creative Life Design course this spring) are so significant that if you decide to take a course, the membership will have paid for itself.
All this to say, I’ve tried to pack as much value into this membership as possible, and the current price is less than I pay for my vitamin supplements each month.
That said, not everyone needs an all-access pass, and that’s why I make it possible for the public to purchase a ticket for a single Workshop or Practice Sessions, one at a time.
But if you think you might attend, or watch the recordings of, a few Practice Sessions per month and an occasional workshop, this Founding Member price is going to be the best deal for you.
The price will increase over the next few weeks as I prepare for the public launch. But founding members will have this monthly price locked in for as long as they decide to stay a member!
+ Is this only for artists or super creative people?
The simple answer is no!
Creative Mapping started as a way to help talented, independent musicians strategize towards more appreciation (financial and otherwise) for their work without constantly feeling burnt out and frustrated.
Non-musician artists started asking me if I could help them too. We tried it out, and they had positive results!
Over the years, these tools have helped bands, artists, and entrepreneurs-- but I've also worked with everyone from stay-at-home-parents to teams running non-profit organizations.
The thing everyone has in common is that they are looking for more sustainable systems to help them reach balance as they try to spend their time on this planet in ways that feel more fulfilling and less frustrating.
+ Do I have to have any previous experience with Creative Mapping or life design?
The simple answer is no!
The Workshops and Practice Sessions are all-levels and designed for you to be able to drop-in as needed.
If you’ve taken a past retreat or intensive, some of the material might be familiar, but that’s a good thing! The Creative Mapping Circle is all about revisiting these tools and systems regularly as part of an ongoing practice.
Whether you feel like you have experience or a practice already, the Creative Mapping Circle is an excellent place to explore.
And if you want to try some mapping out to see if it’s a good fit, you can sign up for a single workshop or Practice Session in the Upcoming Events section of this website.
If you’re looking for more in-depth, sequential Career Design work, I recommend checking out one of our multi-week courses or getting in touch about the possibility of a Deep Work Session.
+ I'm an introvert. Do I have to talk with other people or come to live events?
Nope! While there are many options to attend weekly and monthly events on live Zoom calls, one of the perks of being a member is that you’ll have access to all call recordings.
So if you prefer to binge-watch past Practice Sessions on a Saturday morning in your PJs or want to watch last month’s workshop while you take a bath (please beware of electric shock), it will all be there waiting for you in the Resource Library.
Even in the community app, you can dip your toes in slowly and glean from the conversations that others have until you want to participate in them (or just keep gleaning; that’s fine too!)
If you’re an extrovert, we’ll also have plenty of ways for you to engage and connect with others who are on a similar journey. The community app has public conversations and a direct message function, and faces on the Zoom calls will start becoming familiar the more you attend!
+ Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Billing is monthly, and you won’t be billed for future months after you cancel.
(I should note that if you sign up at this lowest-ever Founding Members’ price, you’ll be able to keep that price for as long as you remain a member. If you decide to cancel and then sign up again later, it will cost whatever the current price is at the time of your new signup).
+ I'm a musician-- what if I want resources specific to my musical career?
I’m seriously considering developing a section of this membership that specifically supports musicians. If you would be interested in knowing more about this, please email me directly at chris[at]creativemappingproject.com
In the meantime, all the resources currently offered apply to designing a more sustainable musical career. If you want to talk about specific applications, that’s what the community forum is for (and I will nerd out about that with you as much as you want!).
+ I live in a different time zone than you. Will I be able to attend your events?
We regularly have attendees joining from many states, provinces, territories, and countries. And there are already Founding Members on multiple continents.
Events are scheduled with this in mind. That said, I (Chris) am on the East Coast of the US, and so live events will be limited to times that don’t force me to stay up way past my bedtime (I like getting my 8 hours).
Live event times are staggered so that they’ll be able to accommodate different schedules. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to make scheduling requests --this is all for you first and foremost, and I’ll do my best to accommodate!
+ Why are you only accepting 16 people at a time?
At first, I was planning on making this a big launch to the public. I thought about running a Kickstarter or Patreon, but after doing some of my own project mapping, I realized it would be healthier to roll this out in tiny phases, starting with you, my shortlist of folks who have been there at critical times in this project.
With this founding members group of 16, I hope we can build the core of a community that will be a vibrant and welcoming foundation once the Creative Mapping Circle opens to a broader audience.
Perhaps more importantly, a smaller group will allow the space for me to get to know each individual and help you with your specific project and questions in a way that wouldn't be possible with a much larger group.
Finally, I need to keep this project sustainable for myself and the folks I hire to help me. It takes a lot of work to offer membership like this, and the project would not be able to sustain itself if I provided this founding membership price beyond a certain point.
+ What is a Practice Session?
Practice Sessions are mini mapping sessions on Zoom that last 15 or 20 minutes. They are designed to allow you to take a few moments out of your day and connect with your ongoing career and life design practice.
Practice sessions are a great place to start if you’ve never done Creative Mapping. And if you’ve worked with me in the past, this will be a great refresher on a single, focused prompt connected to your larger practice.
It's like how you can get lots out of a one-off session with a great personal trainer, but the real progress comes from your daily workout. Practice Sessions are your mapping workouts.
A single question, a list, a map: whatever we do that day, you’ll be able to apply it to whichever part of your life needs to move one step forward, whether that’s your main project, relational landscape, job, or business.
Creative Mapping Circle members will have access to recordings of all past Practice Sessions, as well as occasional members-only sessions.
Still have questions? You can send me (Chris) a message by clicking the button below. I’ll be more than happy to clarify anything I can! I want to make sure you have all the information you need to decide if this is a good fit for you.
“This work has been a super eye-opening deep dive into what actually matters.
I signed up with the intention of having more direction and clarity in my career path, and so far I have been slowly cracking myself open piece by piece in all of the best ways. Through each exercise Chris has us work on, another layer of relevance is revealed to me, career-wise or otherwise.
It's such good work for anyone to do, whether or not they need something new out of their career.”
