The Most Important Map of All:
Knowing What You Want

In this 90 minute workshop, I'll take you through a process that helps you map what you want at the deepest level.

Friday, March 19th, 2021. 7p EDT

There are lots of techniques for making and updating your 'To Do' list. But if you want to feel more balanced and fulfilled in your life and work, I recommend spending at least as much time on your 'To Be' list.

Almost everyone I work with really wants an action plan. They want to know what they should DO. And this is important!

But it's critical to lay a foundation and be clear on your context to make sure the action you're taking is going to move you in the direction you actually want to go.

In the Creative Mapping Process, there are 4 stages:
1. Knowing What You Want
2. Knowing What You Have
3. Making a Plan of Action
4. Moving Forward With Adaptability

Notice that Action Plan isn't until stage three.

If you are clear on what you want at the core level and have a good idea of the resources available in your holistic life inventory, only then is it possible to make an action plan that uses what you already have to fulfill what you actually want.

In this 90-minute workshop, I'll take you through a process that helps you map what you want at the deepest level.

Needs & Values Mapping is usually a process that takes several hours and one-on-one guidance, but I'm developing tools to help you create a functioning map of your core values in just 90 minutes.

With this draft, you'll be able to test any decision you need to make at any time in the future. It will help you specify why certain elements of your life are stressful, and why others make you feel great. You'll know when to say 'yes' to something, and when to definitely say 'no'.

Knowing your core values gives you a 'To Be' list that acts as a foundation for any 'To Do' list you'll make from now on.

“I walked away with more clarity than I have felt in years re: where I should be putting my time, energy, and efforts when it comes to my career. It’s f***ing great and you should do it!”

Creative Mapping Project will be donating 25% of proceeds from this Friday's Values Mapping workshop, as well as this week's 15 min Practice Sessions to Stop AAPI Hate.

StopAAPIHate.org is an organization working to combat racism, especially focused on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

The core goal of my workshops is to help foster lives and communities that live in line with our best values.

This is long, slow work, and so I think it's fitting to take a multi-pronged approach that also directs finances to those who are working on specific issues that align with our values of justice, equity, consciousness, and liberation.

You can donate to Stop AAPI Hate directly here: https://donate.givedirect.org/?cid=14711
