Intro to Creative Career Design: Portland
An in-person workshop and conversation, in Portland, OR, led by Chris Faroe from the Creative Mapping Project.
Design your career to feel more sustainable and in line with how you actually like spending your days on this planet.
You’re good at what you do.
You have something special to share with the world, and you’re pouring effort into it. But it’s hard.
I’ve met a lot of talented, passionate people in this same boat. Whether they’re an artist or musician, a small-business owner or part of an organization with an important mission, almost everyone deals with massive frustration, struggling to connect their audience with what they create.
Despite all their hard work even the most talented, passionate folks I know are rarely given the appreciation they deserve.
In this 90-minute-long workshop you will get an overview of some of the most powerful career design tools that I've found so far in my journey towards radically sustainable careers.
The Creative Mapping Project has been one of the most helpful tools in finding alignment in my life!

What is Creative Mapping?
Creative Mapping is a set of tools and systems that started as a way to help talented, independent musicians strategize towards more appreciation (financial and otherwise) for their work without constantly feeling burnt out and frustrated.
Non-musician artists started asking me if I could help them too. We tried it out, and they had positive results!
Over the years, these tools have helped bands, artists, and entrepreneurs — but I've also worked with everyone from stay-at-home-parents to teams running non-profit organizations.
The thing everyone has in common is that they are looking for more sustainable systems to help them reach balance as they try to spend their time on this planet in ways that feel more fulfilling and less frustrating.
